Nicole La Pierre, Voice and Piano Instructor

Nicole has been teaching music for the past twelve years and has been playing organ and piano since age 6 and flute since age 8. Nicole graduated from Metropolitan State College Of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. While there, she studied organ under Dr. Joyce Shupe-Kull on the historic pipe organ at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and music theory under Robert Klimek. She also studied voice and sang in the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers choirs. She started teaching general music in Jefferson County Public Schools teaching at the elementary and middle school levels and also began teaching privately. In addition to teaching, Nicole has spent several years as a church musician playing organ and piano and directing choirs as well as doing freelance work and playing keyboards with local groups. Nicole enjoys teaching a range of styles including classical, gospel, jazz, popular, and improvisation. She is currently putting together a collection of original music.
