tarting on the snare, you concentrate on stick control, counting and playing rhythms, and correct technique. Then you progress to the full drum kit, showing in detail several rhythm patterns, fills, and playing along with a full band. We also teach the 26 essential rudiments required by school band programs. You start with setting up the snare, holding the sticks, tuning the snare, and achieving a good sound . You then cover each rudiment in detail, demonstrating it slowly and then playing it as would be required in auditions (open, closed, open).
