My father always played guitar and I always loved to sing. I couldn’t learn from the video very well because it was hard to see exactly what they were doing and I couldn’t ask questions. My parents had me start at Denver School of Music to take guitar lessons and it was a lot better because I got new lessons each week and I had all my questions answered. Denver School of Music Rocks!

I had a hard time reading songs and my teacher showed me how to learn ACDC and I have lots of fun to do. I am getting into a garage band soon.

My brother and sister are in lessons and I want to be in a band soon.

I’ve been at denver school of music since the school started and I could never play anything, I couldn’t strum chords or play songs. I learned guitar and drums at the same time as well as took lessons with Rob and learned how to write songs and also was placed in a band where I recorded songs on CD and played shows at Coors Amphitheater, Blue Bird and the Marquis. Denver School of Music has been the best experience of my life.

I started at Denver School of music never playing bass and I was shy at first to play in front of other people. Gabe my bass teacher really broke me out of the stage fright and pushed me to get on stage. I really respect what I learned from the school and even though it’s hard work sometimes, in the end when I play the shows it’s really worth all the hard work. I really love going to school here.

Teaching at DSoM is a rewarding experience, just working with students to develop goals is wonderful, the last thing I was thinking about when I was 12 was setting goals for my music. The students are really coming a long and getting to perform a lot which is really nice.

I always wanted to play the guitar and I never thought that I would ever get to. I spent a lot of time trying to learn on my own and I did okay just not as good as I wanted to. My dad signed me up for lessons and I was really afraid of taking lessons, because I didn’t want to play in front of someone that played good. After the first lesson I really felt comfortable and they made me believe that I could do great things. I have been really happy with everything that I have done at DSoM.

I am a vocalist and guitarist, and I really love music. I have always wanted to perform and DSoM not only helped me learn how to play guitar, but I learned how to sing better and play a lot of live shows. If I never went to DSoM, I would never have been able to do what I have always wanted to do which is play in a band and record a CD.

I went to DSoM’s Summer camp and met a lot of great teachers. I really liked my guitar teacher and had a great time with him over the summer. I live pretty far from the school, but it’s worth it to me to drive all the way over here because I get to play in a band and learn a lot about music.

I really like the school and I get to sing in a band and play shows, It’s cool because they shoot music videos for us and it’s a lot of fun to play shows at different places. I sang a jimi hendrix song and it was fun to play with my friends.

It’s really cool here (DSOM) I have been really impressed with the people I have met and the performances. I couldn’t imagine ever playing live shows when i started, but they really push us here and it’s good because we get a lot better faster. I am not a hard worker, but being in this band I have to work really hard because I don’t want to let my band down.
